Roxanich Tara 6/6 (Roxanich Winery)
Tara Rožanić is the youngest sister of six. She has a love for all things nature: whether animals and plants, grapes or olives. Since her earliest years, she has never missed the bustle of the wine harvest. Wherever her older sisters are, Tara will not be far behind, carrying and mixing and ‘helping’ however she’s able.
The Roxanich Tara 6/6 was therefore created as an avant-garde, multi-layered and exciting red wine for serious admirers. It’s Mladen Rožanić’s field blend that shows the whole ‘art...
Roxanich Zara 5/6 2010/11 (Roxanich winery)
Zara Rožanić, at a young age, is constantly evolving. Her passion is art, including her culinary skills, which surpass the scope and possibilities of her generation. Zara's palate is absolutely impressive. She cannot imagine a grape harvest without being involved in it.
Roxanich Zara 5/6 is a classic case of sibling rivalry with Mara 4/6, embodied in a bottle: Watching Mara's success, Zara burns with a desire to offer her interpretation. The result is a dizzying wild ride in a bottle: fresh and invigorating, with all the unrestrained energy that healthy competition between younger sisters can create.
If you allow it, Roxanich Zara 5/6 can surprise you in unexpected ways. It is a complex and layered wine that continues to transform and evolve throughout the evening. Can you imagine a blend of seven different grape varieties from the same vineyard: Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Vermentino, Glera, Friulano, Graševina?
Seven worlds realized in a new whole of...
Roxanich Mara 4/6 2011 (Roxanich winery)
The wine bearing the signature of Mara Rožanić is not dedicated to her work in the winery but rather to her love for fine gastronomy and her longstanding contribution to the restaurant kitchen. She started as a chef's assistant and, thanks to her family experience in preparing various dishes, she decided to make a radical change from her planned career. Determined to refine her culinary skills, she enrolled at Le Cordon Bleu in London, where she graduated with a Master Patisserie degree. Mara now creates a completely new gastronomic/bistronomic world that perfectly complements our winemaking artistry.
It is clear that Roxanich Mara 4/6 must be a truly special wine. In its genre, Roxanich Mara 4/6 represents a rarity. Not only because of its limited quantities but also because it redefines the entire category of rosé wines. The red variety Borgonja, in its rosé expression, develops complexity and intricate sensations over time that young rosé wine cannot achieve.

Roxanich Sara 3/6 2010/11 (Roxanich winery)
Unique, amber-colored extended maceration Chardonnay acts as another confirmation of Mladen's atypical interpretations of classics. Sara Rožanić, always in harmony with her father, always chooses the unconventional over the usual.
Roxanich Sara 3/6 is a wine that defies conventional definition. At first glance, instead of amber or old gold color, a shimmer of golden hues emanates from the vibrant orange. Superficially, it is easy to mistake Sara 3/6 for an oxidative style from the French Jura region, but there is none of that patina in this wine.
Defiant, unorthodox, judiciously macerated Chardonnay... in each bottle, the wine is left to ferment in contact with the grape skins for a period ranging from five to twenty-one days, depending on the harvest. "That is the period that is best for Chardonnay," says Rožanić. "The skins and seeds provide a beautiful range of colors."
Is Sara 3/6 yet another successful amber-colored extended maceration Chardonnay and ano...
Roxanich Petra 2/6 2015/16 (Roxanich winery)
This rich red wine fully reflects the character of Petra Rožanić, our family artist (who, although too modest to say it herself, also painted the new labels for Roxanich wines).
Mladen Rožanić's persistent desire to combine previously incompatible grape varieties from two of the largest Croatian peninsulas - Istria and Pelješac - has resulted in the wine Roxanich Petra 2/6. It largely embodies his concept of "different, yet similar." The two most popular Croatian red varieties - Plavac Mali from the famous Dingač vineyard and the ancient Istrian grape Teran - are united in a unique wine for the first time in history.
The duality, halfway between Plavac Mali and Teran, defines the new balance between fullness and maturity versus freshness and fruitiness in Roxanich Petra 2/6. While Teran complements Plavac with its distinctive freshness, Plavac Mali adds body and maturity to Teran. Plavac Mali matured for four years in barrels, combined in neutral barrique barrels (225 lit...
Roxanich Lara 1/6 Mono cepage 2011/12 (Roxanich winery)
Roxanich Lara 1/6 is not a conventional wine for conformists - it paves the way for long macerated, naturally amber wines, obtained by macerating Istrian Malvasia.
First the must, and then the wine, spontaneously ferment in contact with the grape skins for no more than 6 months in large wooden tanks. After extended maceration, the wine matures in wooden barrels before achieving its impeccable state for bottling at that ideal moment.
Named after Mladen's first daughter, Roxanich's interpretation of prolonged maceration Malvasia has the additional value of raising awareness of genuine and natural winemaking.
The aging process in large, neutral barrels sometimes lasts up to ten years. The winemaking approach of minimal intervention creates a wine of different, lasting beauty. The wine, with its bright amber color, unfiltered and without stabilization, possesses restless life-giving energy.
Unanesthetized, wild beauty of Roxanich Lara 1/6 is crowned with refined appear...
Roxanich Pinot Noir 2008 (Roxanich Wineries)
The pinnacle of Mladen Rožanić's aspirations - no other wine represents the philosophy of Roxanich better than this.
Roxanich Pinot Noir is the true ambassador of its variety. The 2008 vintage bears fruits that have been bottled without filtration after six years of maturation in large wooden barrels.
Pinot Noir is a prominent member of Mladen Rožanić's Philosophy line, as a long-aged natural wine created for true followers of spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and with exceptionally rare minimal intervention during maturation in the cellar.
Pinot Noir is a distinctive Burgundy variety that can now be found in vineyard regions around the world. It was brought to Istria by Napoleon's soldiers during their peak of glory. Pinot Noir is adored for creating a unique aromatic spectrum, while its cool freshness effortlessly carries that experience across the palate into an inexplicably long finish. The elusive charm of this variety has posed a life challenge to man...
Roxanich Sauvage 2011/12 (Roxanich Wineries)
Monumental, layered wine for the unwavering.
Roxanich Sauvage is a single-varietal wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Sauvage is the recognizable flagship of Mladen Rožanić's Philosophy line and carries the historically first-known name of the Cabernet Sauvignon grape.
The word "sauvage" evokes associations of game meat, earth, and forest soil, as stated on the label of Roxanich Sauvage: dark and ripe fruits, plums, black currants, black pepper, cedar, and tobacco - a warm autumn afternoon on the palate. "Sauvage" also refers to a spontaneously fermented wine, created with its own "wild" yeasts.
Deep garnet in color, Roxanich Sauvage is bottled without filtration after nine years of aging in large wooden barrels. Certainly one of the greatest wines produced by Mladen Rožanić, it offers magnificent aromas of candied plums, blackcurrant jam, dried rose petals, and blackberry compote with a hint of licorice.
Full-bodied, rich in flavor...

Roxanich Bordo 2011 (Roxanich Wineries)
A sublime combination of power and elegance for Merlot lovers.
The word “Bordo’” stands for Merlot. In Venetian lands, “Bordo’” was mentioned in 1855 for the first time, describing a grape varietal arriving to Venice from the French Bordeaux region. Coincidentally, this was also the year of the first official Bordeaux classification.
Unusual yet conservative, the Roxanich Mirna is an exciting counterpoint to the traditional Sauvignon Blanc.
It is an adventurous taste experience, quiet on one side with a long and rich finish on the other. Fermented with indigenous yeasts, the Mirna is macerated for a few days only, eventually delivering the drinking back to the taste of Sauvignon Blanc.
The name on the label is dedicated to Mirna, Istria’s longest river, flooding the Motovun forest - the cradle of Istrian white truffles. It passes beneath the Roxanich Winery in Motovun and flows into the Adriatic Sea near Novigrad. In Roman times, Motovun was a harbor where small barges transported oil and wine giaras to larger trading ships in Mirna&rs...

More “nose”, more pleasures!

The second smell begins with raspberry fruitiness, riddled through flower of violet and ends with pepery-spicy-herbal complexity of Mediterranean maquis. In the mouth, undoubtedly Teran. Fresh, fruity, slightly tannic and smooth. The dark horse of Istrian winemaking, in Trapans expression.
Rubi Rosé (OPG Trapan Bruno)
Reductive – vinuos beginning, introduction to red fruit, floralfirecracker that explodes and turns into a dirt beetroot aromatic complexity. Located in the vicinity of the Adriatic Sea and 100 meters above sea level, these vineyards are covered with the best varieties of Merlot, Teran and Cabernet Sauvignon, varieties used to make perfect Trinitas wine. What makes this Trinitas so special is the aging process in which the wine is stored in barrique barrels for 12 months. Dominating flavors are those of berries, sweet and sour cherry, and vanilla with a long-lasting, rich and overall pleasant taste. Teran and its mild tannins make this wine unusual, yet elegant.
Collis Teran (Winery Collis)
Teran wine made in Collis winery is produced from grapes harvested from the vineyards in western Istria, right next to Rovinj. It has ruby red color with purple reflections and intense aromas typical for teran with notes of raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and wild strawberries. Despite typical teran aromas, this particular Teran is distinguished by freshness and drinkability which also makes it a pleasant summer wine.
