The Teran is a dry red wine with a clear, crimson glow. Assorted dark berry aromas of blueberry, blackberry, and plum mellowly mingle under the nose before the vivid, fruity flavour unfolds on the palette. After aging for 12 months in French barrique barrels, the tannins are muted to give the wine a pleasantly soft character and smooth aftertaste.
The Teran pairs well with slightly spicier and more intense dishes like Istrian fuži with black truffles or dry-salted, air-cured Istrian pršut prosciutto with piquant cheese. Recommended serving temperature: 15° to 18°C
